The programme is available to any young person meeting the age criteria who would benefit from an adult mentor. 
Nature of mentoring service Weekly contact between adult and young person in common interest activities of their choice.

Mentor Source Voluntary mentors drawn from wider community.
Mentor Target Criteria Mentors with the desire and ability to engage in a 12 month match with a child or young person.
Measurement and Evaluation - how is this done Pre-entry assessments, quarterly evaluations; Mentor Support Group, and exit interviews.
Involvement opportunities Mentor training with tikanga focus, linking to Parenting Programme for Mentee's whanau, opportunity for involvement in Wananga.
