Overview
YEEEEHHAAA- Youth. Engaged. Enjoying. Elevated. Entrusted. Hopeful. Healthy. Active. Achieving. Aroha. Tika, Pono, Aroha, Mana and Tapu are the values that our mentors and mentees agree to abide by. Safety and care are our key priorities. We are taiohi (youth) focused, with whānau and community integral to the relationships and mana enhancing goals for our young ones.
We'd love to hear from anyone who wants to make a difference in a young person's life. If you are honest, reliable, caring and compassionate, self aware and emotionally regulated, then you could change a life with us. If you have experience working with youth already that's a bonus, but your main asset will be your wairua, your heart and your genuine care and time. If you have survived challenges and now thrive, and can empathise with others and have healed yourself, your past may be a positive asset. kiwiMANA mentors are Police checked, qualified by interview processes and bound by the Code of Ethics. We strive to resource our mentors with training and community, mental and emotional support so that all aspects of wellbeing for both mentor and mentee are addressed with care.

About the mentoring
We mentor any age from 7years to 24 years. They are often referred to us via education or health providers, or social services. Many come with layers of trauma and challenges, and all come with skills, talents and amazingness. We love and accept them, focus on strengths and look for the lights that shine in them. We also mentor young parents as their wellbeing has a critical impact on their tamariki.
