Overview
Running since 2013, ImpacTauranga Mentoring Programme—is an intentional, one-on-one support initiative designed to guide young people toward sustained, positive behaviour change. The programme pairs each young person with a trained mentor who provides structured and personalised guidance, based on an individualised plan and grounded in a client-centred, strengths-based approach. Referrals often come through agencies such as Youth Justice and Oranga Tamariki.

About the mentoring
The age range we mentor is 12 to 18 years to start a match. This is a standalone mentoring programme, and the expectation is that the mentoring relationship will last 6 months to a year. Mentors meet and stay in contact with the young person weekly.
