At MacStrong, we are strong believers in the ability of our rangatahi to succeed. Our programs and activities are designed to help our rangatahi reach their goals and fulfill their highest potential. We aim to produce positive outcomes for the children involved, their whanau and the communities they live in. We are proud of all our rangatahi, and love watching them grow into bright-minded and confident individuals.

Overview
Since 2013, MacStrong mentors have worked closely with each young person and their support network to design sessions around their interests, needs, and goals, offering a wide range of experience-based activities. We also support older rangatahi in developing essential life skills, re-engaging with education, and transitioning into employment. Through strong collaboration with other organisations and educational institutions, we ensure each young person has the guidance and opportunities they need to thrive.

About the mentoring
The age range we mentor is 6 to 21 years old. to start a match (we do support a match until the young person is 18). The expectation is that the mentoring relationship will be a minimum of 6 months. Mentors meet with the young person weekly.
