Our line-up of over 20 guest speakers cover the spectrum of mentoring in New Zealand including education, health, welfare and the youth justice sectors.
Nathan Mikaere-Wallis, Director of X-Factor Education, neuroscience presenter and trainer for Brainwave Trust will outline the vital role nuturing relationships play in helping young people successfully find their way through life. His interactive workshop is aptly tltled: "Bootcamps don't build a frontal cortex."
Beatrice Faumuina, Dr Siale Foliaki, Ronji Tanielu and Presessor Charles Royal will conduct a panel discussion exploring the value of mentoring in Maori and Pasifika communities.
Minister Paula Bennett, Minister Nikki Kaye and Brendan Boyle, Chief Executive of MSD and Chair of the Vulnerable Children’s Board are all presenting, providing you with an excellent opportunity to hear how Government is engaging the social sector to achieve better outcomes particularly for vulnerable New Zealanders.
